Sleiman Enterprises Acquires Historic San Marco Properties in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. [August 15, 2019] — Jacksonville-based Sleiman Enterprises today announced the acquisition of a collection of buildings in Jacksonville’s iconic San Marco Square. 1974 San Marco Blvd., an historic 94-year-old 8,200-square-foot building overlooking the equally prominent Balis Park, is the showcase of the three buildings. The collection also includes 1980 San Marco Blvd., currently a Starbucks, and 1972, a Beau Outfitters. The properties are the centerpieces of San Marco Square, one of Jacksonville’s trendiest dining and shopping destinations.

The celebrated buildings boast unique exterior and interior architectural features that complement Jacksonville’s historic significance, including exposed brick throughout, domed terrace doors and high vaulted ceilings. The first and second floors highlight a prime retail or restaurant opportunity to provide Jacksonville with a unique-to-market customer experience.

“In acquiring these properties in San Marco Square, we intend to provide Jacksonville with an experience like no other. We’re confident this acquisition will only further elevate San Marco Square,” said Toney Sleiman, CEO of Sleiman Enterprises.

San Marco Square is located minutes from downtown Jacksonville’s Southbank in the San Marco neighborhood. San Marco is known for its riverfront mansions, locally-owned and indie boutiques, bistros, trendy bars and has become one of greater Jacksonville’s trendiest dining and retail destinations. The San Marco Dining District includes some of Jacksonville’s most popular restaurants, including TAVERNA, Town Hall, Maple Street Biscuit Company, Rue Saint Marc, Bistro AIX, Good Dough, V Pizza, The Bearded Pig and Matthew’s Restaurant.
