Earth Fare welcomes locals with healthy convenience
Asheville, NC –Organic and natural grocery chain Earth Fare will be opening its doors to St. Johns residents on Wednesday, August 18th 2021. The popular market will occupy the 24,000 square foot space located in Shoppes at St. Johns Parkway at 120 Shops Blvd.
Earth Fare has been revitalized through an investment from Hulsing Enterprises and its president and CEO, Dennis Hulsing, as well as Earth Fare’s Chief Sustainability Officer, Randy Talley, and Earth Fare’s President, Mike Cianciarulo. Under the new ownership and leadership of Hulsing Enterprises, Earth Fare has since opened 22 locations throughout the east coast with plans of ongoing expansion. The grocer will continue to stay true to its unparalleled Food Philosophy, offering the highest food quality standards in the industry with a continued mission of improving lives by making healthy food available to all.
Shoppes of St. Johns Parkway has experienced growing popularity throughout St. Johns County. Welcoming Earth Fare back to the center will complete the development’s overall diversity and ability to serve the community. It is clear the need for a healthy grocery store is desired in St. Johns and with strong demographics surrounding this development, Earth Fare promises to deliver to the community.
“Today’s consumer has many options available to them to provide for their family, we are excited to bring Earth Fare to the market and believe they represent the best in affordable and healthy foods, produce, fruit and everyday essentials for a healthy family and home. Providing these options and services is part of our leasing strategy for every center in our portfolio. It’s all about affordability and easy access,” said Toney Sleiman, principal at Sleiman.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 7:45 AM with doors opening to guests at 8:00 AM. The ceremony will be followed by a gift card giveaway for the first 200 guests in line, with values ranging from $5-$500. Guests can enjoy free coffee provided by Big Storm Coffee Co. and various raffles, samples and product demonstrations throughout the day. Earth Fare will bring back its one-of-a-kind fish cutting event where guests can get customized fish fillets cut fresh off the bone. Details regarding Early Bird specials and Juice Bar Happy hour can be found at Earth Fare St Johns.
Beyond groceries, Earth Fare will offer a Juice Bar, which features 100% organic smoothies, juices and coffee drinks. Guests will also find a wide variety of organic choices in the Kitchen, featuring ready-to-go and prepared foods including a salad bar, hot foods bar, pizza station, sandwich counter, and conveniently packaged meals-on-the-go. Guests can enjoy a homemade meal without the work, whether dining in the indoor and outdoor café with free Wi-Fi or taking it home. For guests seeking the balance of convenience and healthy eating, Earth Fare has extended its growth with a storewide partnership with Instacart, which will bring same-day delivery as well as curbside pick-up to the St. Johns location. Guests can now enjoy Earth Fare’s entire healthy assortment—free from hundreds of synthetic ingredients found on the natural grocer’s Boot List—in as little as two hours.
Mike Cianciarulo, Earth Fare’s President, states “Earth Fare recognizes that the location in St. Johns is an exciting and vital part of the community. We have made the commitment to reopen our doors and provide families with clean, all-natural and organic options. Finally, we would like to offer a special thank you to Commissioner Whitehurst for his contributions as District Commissioner.
About Earth Fare
Earth Fare, an established natural food market previously spanning 50 stores, filed for bankruptcy in early February of 2020. In March of 2020, a loyal customer and local Asheville business leader, Dennis Hulsing, purchased Earth Fare with the vision to re-establish stores in select communities across the east coast. Supported by the original founders, local advocates, and previous Earth Fare team members, they began the renewed mission to help people live healthy lives. Currently Earth Fare operates 22 locations across eight states with ongoing plans for future expansion.
